Our company
The fire retardant products company IGNITOR was created in 1973 by the industrialist Ignacio Torras Aymerich, with seat in Manresa and dedicated to finished and the waterproofing of textile materials, and Italian investigator D. Claudio Donatti Bagnolli, with the purpose of finding a formulation non-flammable, simultaneously that waterproof, for the tents of the army.
With this intention, and with the purpose of deepening in the incipiente field of the ignifugación, they created in 1975, with the collaboration of the chemical engineer Jose Luis Mountain range Linares, a production system of ignifugantes liquids for textile materials.
It is as of 1977, with the incorporation of industrial expert chemical Jordi Pallas Tena and Doctor Industrial Ingeniero D. Lorenzo Domingo Ribera, that took shape the installation of the first deprived laboratory of tests of reaction to the fire of our country, with the remembered Epiradiador and the test to the flame of the alcohol.
Later they were developed the non-flammable varnish for the wood, the incorporated non-flammable tail in particle boards, and the intumescente painting for metallic structures. Finally in 1988 the mortar of vermiculita Protecflam for metallic structures was formulated, that was accredited definitively in 1990 by the General Laboratory of Tests and Investigation of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
At the moment we have the high range of products of passive protection against the fire:
 |
- Protection with pearlite mortar and vermiculita
- Protection with intumescente painting
- Protection with panels
